JOHN M. DEMERS

John has been on the show previously sharing with us about The Rusty Bucket Kids.

He is an, award winning actor, Film, TV & New Media Producer, a Media Futurist, all for 23 years. He has worked behind and in front of the camera, in Indy feature films and TV. A few include “Among Brothers” “Gods and Generals”, 3 seasons of “The West Wing”, Homicide Hunter and more. John also has a number of national TV commercials for NASCAR and other branded product. He does like sneaking off and doing live theatre. A few shows of note, “Harvey” with Elinor Donahue, “To Kill a Mockingbird” with Johnny Whitaker, “Fiddler on the Roof” with Paul Sorvino and “The Sound of Music” with the real von Trapp family singers. John has his own professionally built voiceover studio in his home for his voiceover and ADR work that he does for himself and other clients.

John serves as faculty advisor to Living Arts College: The School of Communication Arts and formerly to Piedmont Community College’s: Film Video and Production Technology Program. He served as adjunct faculty at a number of higher learning institutions such as UNC-Greensboro and Savannah College of Art and Design. He has also participated in a number of graduate productions at the University of North Carolina: School of the Arts, this is part of John giving back to the motion picture arts. He continues to serve as a member of the board of advisors to several organizations such as Eno River Media Association, the leading advocate for the NC Film industry in the state. He is a lifetime member of the Digital Cinema Society, a life member in Media Communications Association International, and served on its international board as well as President of the Central Carolina Chapter. John is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

MARK EASLEY, SR

Mark Easley is a startup advisor and angel investor in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. Previously Mark had a 20+ year technology career in engineering, marketing, sales, and executive management in the semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley. Mark has been on the executive board of a Raleigh/Durham area angel investor group and is a member of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

Mark was the team leader of the advocates for the NC PACES Act crowdfunding bill which was signed into law by the Governor in July 2016. The North Carolina Providing Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs and Small Business (NC PACES) Act enables a new way of financing startups and small business using investment crowdfunding.
