Romans 8:28 (KJV 1900)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
As I write this, it is morning after the 2012 U.S. national elections. I am disappointed in what has happened, or has continued to happen. As one caller on a morning radio show said: “I am a parent of two children. Now I have to figure out how to explain what has happened to them. That people have taken the easy way. It isn’t easy to get up on Sunday and get two kids ready for church. It isn’t easy to explain why marijuana and same sex marriage are being legalized in some states. It won’t be easy to explain to them why Dad will be closing down his business and going back to work if he can find a job with another company. It won’t be easy to explain to them why Dad won’t have as much time to spend with them. It won’t be easy.”
He could also say it won’t be easy to tell them their future is mortgaged. That to go to college they will have to borrow money or hope they can get a job to work their way through. It won’t be easy to tell them that if things stay as they are (assuming that things won’t get worse), that they have a 50/50 chance of getting a job after college, let alone a job that is in their field and pays enough to live on and pay off the debt they incurred.
It won’t be easy to watch what this country will become in the next four years. It hasn’t been easy watching what has been happening in the last four years. We can overcome the economy; it will just take more work. We can tighten our belts and survive a recession. What we cannot survive is if this administration carries through on what has been happening the last four years into the next, especially if that includes turning its back on Israel.

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Isaiah 24:6 (KJV 1900)
6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth,
And they that dwell therein are desolate:
Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
And few men left.
Our path is clear regardless of who rules the world, we are not of the world, but we are in it. We are expected to hold onto God. We will endure all afflictions for the times for the time is come for the sides to be chosen with God or against Him. I know whose side I am on.
2 Timothy 4:5 (KJV 1900)
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
As you go forward keeping your eyes on God, listening to His Words, and writing those Words upon your heart. Go to Him in prayer in all things. Do not rely on things of this world but rest solely in His Grace. Take steps to strengthen your relationship with Him, your family and friends. Take steps to wisely prepare your family for the future, but put your faith in God.

8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
