Processes can limit results.

Processes that worked well when the business was established aren't the same processes that will work for a $50 million plus business.  Processes like equipment have capacity limitations.  They may need to go from manual to automated or from a single location perspective to a multiple location view. They may need to change due to external influences like legislation, legal agreements, or many other issues.

Process constraints are as real as those created by equipment.

Every business recognizes that equipment like printers, manufacturing systems, computers, etc. have limitations built-in.  There is just so much they can do within a certain time period.  Processes while "intangible" place similar restrictions on the activities of the business. When analyzing what your business is and isn't achieving, it is important to understand the role that your business processes and methods in that PROCESS!
